There are quite a few cases(API v 1.8) where multiple keynumbers items are being returned for a company that have the same recordtype and fiscalperiod values. Some examples:
DUNS Type Period emphere emptotal adv R&D sales empgrowth
799527630 A FY2000 500 88500 0 0 7703 0
799527630 A FY2000 0 15000 0 0 6886 0
178062048 A FY2000 400 10400 0 0 4054.30 0
178062048 A FY2000 0 0 0 0 3900 0
227063948 A FY2008 0 0 0 0 18579.11 0
227063948 A FY2008 0 85000 0 0 17261.76 5.985
With this data, there's no way to know what numbers to use for a given period.
These companies have more than one figure for the period listed but they are from different months. This can happen when a company changes its fiscal year end. In a future update to the API we will add the month to the financial period so you can differentiate between the numbers.
